The Design Manifesto
Inspired by moments when resolve outweighed resources—when identity was forged under pressure—the F & B Design Foundry exists to preserve meaning through craftsmanship and bring legacy to life. Every solution is designed with the understanding that it may one day be passed along, not replaced.
Earned, Not Given
When Chief Master Sergeant Malensek came to me she didn't want a coin that just marked rank — she wanted one that told the truth about how she got there. Twenty-plus years in the Air Force taught her that legacy isn't inherited, it's built, boot by boot, decision by decision. So I built her coin around the philosophy she's lived by since day one: care about the things, and do the stuff.
Her own words became the foundation — literally. "Don't worry about filling anyone else's shoes. Your shoes are how you got here" replaces the tired old adage with something sharper: a reminder that comparison is a distraction from purpose. A quiet nod to Wonder Woman honors the grit that carried her through — strength, compassion, and the belief that doing what's right doesn't require permission.
The result isn't a keepsake.
It's a mission statement you can hold.

The Origin Statement
The Forge & Banner Foundry was conceived as a response to impermanence. It draws inspiration from moments in history when identity was not inherited, but forged—under pressure, in scarcity, and through collective resolve. One such moment was Valley Forge, where survival, discipline, and belief shaped something enduring long before victory was assured.
Creative Purpose
The Foundry exists to honor those moments—not as nostalgia, but as instruction.
Forge & Banner does not recreate history. It extracts meaning from it and re-casts that meaning into modern artifacts designed to endure.
